The kind folks at CafePress sent along a $60 gift card for me to use on anything in their online store. After spending over an hour browsing all their product offerings, I finally decided that it would be fun to create a t-shirt that would also bring a smile to my girls' face. So, I chose to add their favorite cartoon character family, Peppa Pig to the front of the shirt, with the words "I Love Mummy," and for the back, I uploaded a recent photo I took of the girls at my parents house, as they tried on my Mom's necklaces. I knew that when the girls saw either the front or back of my shirt, they would smile and want to point out the images.
Because the PJ set was only $44.50, I had money left over on the gift card to spend. So, I added this t-shirt to the order. It is so fitting, as I am a mom of 2. :-)
In record time -- about a week since my order was places, I received my customized t-shirt and pink flannel PJ bottoms in the mail. I couldn't wait to see how the t-shirt looked, especially the photo of the girls playing dress up. I was hoping to surprise the girls with the PJ set at bedtime, but like always, Savannah was up when the mail came, so she saw it. As soon as Savannah saw Peppa Pig and her family on the front of the t-shirt, she went crazy, yelling out "Peppa Pig, Peppa Pig." Then, when I showed her the back, she started giggling, as she is not used to seeing herself on a t-shirt. She was excited to see her and sister on the t-shirt, and wanted me to put it on. But, I told her she would have to wait until bedtime, when we are all in our PJ's to see it.
I have to say that I was also excited about trying on my new PJ set that night. And, once it, it fit great. The flannel pants were loose fitting and soft to the touch. As for the cotton t-shirt, I loved how comfy it felt. I don't know if it was the PJ's, but I really had a restful sleep that night. :-) Even though I loved the PJ's, I had to really put this product to the test by washing it. I wanted to see if the images would fade or run. I am happy to report that after half a dozen washes, both the t-shirts and flannel pants look just like they did the first time I put the on. The colors and images has faded, and the clothes themselves didn't shrink. :-)
I will definitely be ordering more custom PJ's for gifts, along with other unique products from CafePress.com. Up next will be an order for matching PJ's for the girls and I with My Little Pony on the front of the t-shirt for Savannah's birthday -- which will be My Little Pony Themed. I can't wait to take photos of us all in our matching t-shirts. :-)
