My Thoughts:
Did you family love the Air Bud movies? If so, then you will probably love MVP and MVP 2 series, which is from the makers of Air Bud. When I heard this, I had to get my hands on review copies, as our family fell in love with Air Bud the first time we saw the movie --- how could we not, as we are dog lovers?! :-) This past weekend, we designated Saturday as family night and got the girls into their pj's early. After a busy day at the zoo and seeing chimps for the first time, I knew the girls would get excited the MVP movies, which star Jack, a cute, adventurous chimp. And, were they ever. As soon as they saw Jack, Savannah went crazy, yelling out, "Chimp", while Arabella was saying "monkeee."
I didn't think the girls would last through both movies, but they did! Savannah even asked to watch the MVP again, as she loved seeing Jack as a hockey player. We all loved both movies in this series, but the girls seems more excited about the first movie, as they didn't like seeing Jack lost in the second film. :-( But, don't worry, he is found safe and sound. :-) Who knew that a chimp could be a great hockey player and skateboarder? It seems like Jack can do it all in these films, which will have children cheering by the end of the movie. Both of these movies touch upon the importance of teamwork, perseverance, and friendship, which I love.
If you are looking for great family friendly movies to share with your family, why not consider picking up MVP, MVP 2 or even the Berenstain Bears Collection Set, which I reviewed earlier. These great movies from Phase 4 films will not make you feel embarrassed to watch around with your children of all ages (as some contain profanity or not-age appropriate content), and are really entertaining. And, at only $8.99 each, these DVDs would make for an affordable movie night in with pizza and popcorn! :-)
Since watching these recent releases from Phase 4 films, we have already watched MVP and MVP 2 half a dozen times. Savannah continues to ask for MVP to be brought on car rides, to watch in the DVD player. I don't see us getting tired of Jack, the lovable chimp anytime soon. :-)
Disclosure: I was sent samples from the vendor in order to write up an honest review. The views I share are mine and mine alone.
this sounds like another wonderful dvd to watch with the family thanks for sharing...
