Feature Friday -- F.A.B Lights -- Help's Light Up Any Hinged Box You Need a Light, Including Your Cooler!! (Review and Giveaway)

Disclosure: I was sent samples from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  The views I share are mine and mine alone.

With everything that happened in Boston on Friday, I have had to push a few posts out a few days, including this Feature Friday post about last week's Spotlight Mom, Linda Pond, co-creator of F.A.B. Lights.  If you missed my interview with Linda Pond last Monday, click here to read it now -- http://www.inspiredbysavannah.com/2013/04/spotlight-on-mom-linda-pond-co-creator.html.

I am so grateful to have had Lisa Pond reach out to me and share information about her invention and entrepreneur story, as I don't think I would have stumbled upon it on my own.  And, Linda was kind enough to send along two samples for me try. I have to say that this was one of my favorite reviews, as I loved trying to find different ways to use her F.A.B. light.  From toy boxes, tackle boxes, makeup cases or other hinged boxes, to toilet seat lids, I tried out the F.A.B. light everywhere that had a hinge, and would benefit from being lit up. :-)  I have to say that it was cool to see the toilet seat lit up in the night when the seat was lifted.  It is especially great for wives, as you don't have to worry about walking in and sitting on a wet seat. :-)  It also came in handy in our daughter's bathroom, as she is in the midst of potty training and at night time when she gets up to go, she can now see the toilet to sit, which she loves.  Now, she is not scared to sit on the potty in the dark bathroom, as it really does light up the whole seat and surrounding area.

I couldn't not try out the F.A.B. light in a cooler, as this was the main reason why the product was invented.  So, this past weekend, we had a bunch of family and friends over to celebrate an ending to the Boston horror that was seen round the world.  As the sun set and the sky began to get dark, we didn't have to worry about the outdoor party ending.  With the fire pit going, and s'mores roasting, guests were able to walk over to the cooler and lift the lid -- and, be able to find their beverage of choice, as it lit up the drinks inside.  At first I didn't tell guests about the F.A.B. light as I wanted to see their reactions. :-)  The first few times people went over to the cooler and lifted the lid, they quickly shut it, as they didn't know what was going on. But, then I told them about the F.A.B. light and how it was invented to help people find things like beverages in coolers in the dark, they all thought it was cool.  And, like children trying out a new time on Christmas Day, everyone kept going over to the cooler just to try out the F.A.B. light and sift through the ice and drinks to get a refill.  The F.A.B. light turned out to be a great conversation piece, and was definitely a hit at our gathering.  With the warmer spring and summer months fast approaching, I know I will be getting a lot more use out of these cool lights, created by Linda Pond and her daughter.

Do you like to throw parties in the summer and use a cooler often?  Or, do you or your husband like to go out fishing at night or in the early AM?  The F.A.B. light is a must have for these types of scenarios, as it will help light the way when you open a closed lid.  I was particularly surprised at how well the F.A.B. light lit up the inside of the cooler, toilet bowl, hall closet, and tackle box, as it is only small, and fits in the palm of your hand.  The small size makes it great for storing away, so you have them on hand when you need them.  Other uses for the F.A.B. light include:

So, if you love unique products and helping supporting mom and dad entrepreneurs like I do, why not head on over to the F.A.B. Lights online store and pick up couple F.A.B. lights for yourself. Or, surprise Dad or Grandpa this Father's Day with one when you give the a new cooler or fishing tackle box?

F.A.B. Lights can be purchased for $10 each. And, for those who order 10 or more customized F.A.B. Lights (adding logos/messages/photos to the white cap) , Linda will pay printing setup charges.  To take advantage of this great deal, exclusive to Inspired by Savannah readers, make sure you use discount code: FAB Light 1956 at checkout.  These personalized F.A.B. lights would make for great wedding favors, baby shower favors, birthday favors, or simply a fun and unique way to promote your business (or blog). :-)
