"Further growing its mobile presence and following the TV Everywhere concept, Nickelodeon has launched Nick App, a new free interactive platform for iPad devices that gives kids on-demand access to more than 1,000 pieces of Nickelodeon-themed content.
The ad-supported app is now available on the App Store in the US and features short-form videos of original comedic skits, behind-the-scenes clips and photos from Nick stars and animated characters, kid polls, HTML5 games, music and remixes, as well as full-length episodes of hit Nick shows that will be accessible via subscriber authentication through participating TV providers including AT&T U-verse, Bright House Networks, Cablevision, DIRECTV, RCN, Suddenlink, Time Warner Cable and Verizon FiOS.
In addition, the platform will house new original animated and live-action content including On the Road with BTR, a docu-reality series featuring Nickelodeon boy band Big Time Rush, and Nick Studio 10, a live, daily afternoon show featuring kids who challenge each other to make funny content for each episode. Nick Studio 10 will also make its Nick TV debut this spring.
For younger viewers, a Nick Jr. version of the app is expected to launch later in the year and the Nick App will hit additional devices in the coming months."
Looks like fun!
