Don't let Valentine's Day be the only day you tell that special someone just how much you love and appreciate them. For me, I make a point to always tell those I love just how much they mean to me, and how lucky I am to have them in my life -- especially after battling cancer almost 5 years ago. With a cancer diagnosis or medical scare like this, it really does put things into perspective and makes you reevaluate things.
I remember as I went through my treatment, my family was by my side each and every day -either taking me to my appointments, keeping me company as I rested at home, or even called to check in. And, even though I couldn't eat near the end of treatment, I remember always loving the smell of warm apple pies that my mom would bake (and then puree up for me). Who doesn't like the smell of warm apple pie baking in the oven? This is one pie I don't mind eating year round. :-)
Now, whenever I walk into a room and smell a fresh apple pie baking, or smell a baked apple pie candle, I can't help but remember those days I spent laying on my parents couch, as I battled and beat stage 2 cancer. Although I don't have the time to bake an apple pie whenever I want because of being a busy mom to two young children, I can still enjoy the fresh apple pie scents by burning a candle. Each and every time I burn an apple pie scented candle, it seems to bringing a calming feeling over me, as I get to enjoy the sweet smells of baked apples. The only downfall of burning a scented candle -- you get hungry and crave a slice of pie.
But, what is better than a slice a pie? Jewelry. :-) And, thanks to the folks at Jewelry Candles, you can enjoy the fresh smell of Mom's fresh baked apple pie (as well as an assortment of other amazing candle scents) and also be treated to a hidden jewel -- found in each candle jar. So, not only will your house smell great, but you will be treated to a sweet reward one the candle burns down. :-)
This Mother's Day, I plan to pick up the Baked Apple Pie Jewelry Candle (on sale now for only $24.95) from Jewelry Candles to surprise my mother with. She knows how much her baking helped during my cancer treatment, and I can't wait to pay her back with a sweet two-in-one treat. :-) So, don't let Valentine's Day be the only day you take to tell those special people in your life just how much they mean to you. Instead, why not surprise them with a candle from Jewelry Candles in their favorite candle scent?
