Synopsis:
"Two estranged sisters torn apart by their differences suddenly find themselves working together towards a common goal in the heartwarming drama, The Bouquet. For years, overachiever Terri (Kristy Swanson) and her idealistic sister, Mandy (Alberta Mayne), have kept their distance from each other, as well as from their parents’ struggling florist business. But when a tragic turn of events brings both women home, they discover just how much they need one another in order to continue their family legacy. Filled with romance, humor and hope, it’s an endearing story about making time for the ones you love."
My Thoughts:
I have to admit one of my main reasons I wanted to see this movie was that it had Danny Glover in it. I have been a fans of his for years, and love when he is in dramas. The storyline is simple -- Two estranged sisters return to their hometown to help save their mother's failing floral shop, which they have both neglected over the years, while also drifting apart from one another. This heartwarming story will make you laugh one minute and tear up the next. Oh, yeah, and what is a drama/chick flick without romance? This film has that, too.
Will the two sisters be able to save their mother's flower shop, while being able to put their differences aside? I am not going to spoil the story for you. All I will say that the sisters learn about the importance of family and making time for those you love. I am happy to have been able to see this movie, and was able to enjoy it with my mother, who also enjoys these types of films.
So, if you love heartwarming dramas, then you will love "The Bouquet," It would make for a great girls night in flick, or date night movie (if your husband doesn't mind watching these types of movies with you. :-)
Disclosure: I was sent a copy of this DVD from the vendor in order to write up an honest review. The views above are mine and mine alone.
