Liam Neeson Returns in the
Now Available on Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD

"He

settle the score. Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment presents the
return of former CIA operative Bryan Mills and his “particular set of
skills” when TAKEN 2 arrives on Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD January 15. The sequel to the 2008 box office smash Taken, this action-packed follow-up has brought in $135 million theatrically in the U.S. alone.
Oscar- and BAFTA-nominated actor, Liam Neeson (Clash of the Titans, Taken, Batman Begins)
returns as Mills, the retired CIA agent who stopped at nothing to save
his daughter Kim from kidnappers. When the father of one of the villains
Bryan killed swears revenge, and takes him and his wife hostage in
Istanbul, Bryan must enlist the help of Kim to escape. Bryan then
employs his unique tactics to get his family to safety and
systematically take out the kidnappers, one by one.
Produced by Luc Besson (The Professional, Taken) and directed by Olivier Megaton (Colombiana, Transporter 3), TAKEN 2, features gritty supporting performances from Famke Janssen (X-Men Franchise, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters), Maggie Grace (“Lost,” The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2) and Rade Sherbedgia (X-Men: First Class, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1).
The Blu-ray features a new Unrated Cut and is loaded with special
features including a Black Ops Field Manual and Kill Counter, Deleted
and Extended Scenes, an Alternate Ending over 20 minutes long, Tools of
the Trade interactive feature, and an FX behind-the-scenes piece. The
Combo Pack also comes with a DVD/Digital Copy disc and Ultraviolet."
Taken 2 is also available on DVD featuring the Theatrical version of the movie, Alternate Ending and FX piece.

My Thoughts:
If you a fan of Liam Neeson and loved his role as Bryan Mills, a retired CIA Agent in the 2009 box office hit Taken, then you will love this new release. In this release, the tables are turned, and instead of trying to rescue his daughter, Kimberly, from kidnappers, Brian Mills and his ex-wife are kidnapped and need Kimberly to rescue them in Istanbul. Mills uses his unique rescue tactics to help Kimberly find him and bring the family to safety. Will Kimberly be able to help her dad escape, or will they all be taken? Don't worry, I am not going to ruin it for you. In my opinion Taken 2 has much more action than the first Taken, and will have you on the edge of your seat through the entire film. Full of suspense and action, fans of this popular franchise will want to see it over and over again. Even though I saw it in theaters, this is one film you can't get bored watching.
The bonus features are worth checking out, including the alternate ending and deleted and extended scenes. So, if you are looking for a movie to rent or buy this weekend, this one worth checking out.
