My Thoughts:

Back in September I shared a post about Iron Man: Armored Adventures, Season 2, Vol. 2 with you.  If you missed my post, click here to read it now -- http://www.inspiredbysavannah.com/2012/09/now-available-on-dvd-iron-man-armored.html.  Like I said in this post, season 2 of this popular Nicktoons animated series, seems like it will be spaced out over a handful of DVDs -- and, I was right.  In this recent release, Iron Man fans will be able to enjoy the following six episodes from Season 2:

  • Heavy Mettle
  • Mandarin's Quest
  • Hostile Takeover
  • Extremis
  • The X-Factor
  • Iron Man 2099
Again, I enlisted the help of my husband, and this time his friends, who were over to watch the football game with him this past weekend.  A few of his friends were fans of this animated series which aired on Nicktoons, while others had never heard about it -- but instantly fell in love with it and wanted to see previous episodes.  If your husband, son or daughter, for that matter are fans of Iron Man and other Marvel comic book characters, they will love this animated series, which centered around Iron Man as a high school student, and how he fights off villains, while running Stark International.

When I asked my husband and his friends which episode of the six they liked the most, everyone chimed in all at once, "Iron Man 2099," which put Tony Stark face to face with his future grandson, the Iron Man of 2099.  I will not spoil the ending to this episode, which puts Tony in awkward position and the need to make a difficult decision.  All I will say is that the guys couldn't stop talking about this new DVD release all throughout the game and commercials.  A few even ordered a copy of this DVD, so that they could watch it again at their homes, and planned to collect them like my husband is.

So, if you have a fan of Iron Man or Marvel comic book heroes, you will want to pick up a copy of this new volume today to share with them.

Disclosure: I was sent a copy of this DVD from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  The views above are mine and mine alone.

  1. We think the show really held up in season two, well mostly. Iron Man 2099 did not float out boat like the great depiction of Doctor Doom.

Here is our take on Iron Man: Armored Adventures season 2 with a lot of pics and Fortress humor if your are interested:
