My Thoughts:

Did you watch "Seal Team Six" when it premiered on Nat Geo back on Nov. 5th, 2012?  Unfortunately, my husband and I missed it and it didn't get recorded to the DVR.  So, we were eager to see it when it finally made it to DVD, which is does on Jan. 8th.  Fortunately, if you have Netflix, you can watch this documentary now, before it arrives on Blu-ray and DVD.  Even though I was expecting a review copy to watch, when my husband found it on Netflix the other night, we couldn't help but watch it.  This documentary has received mixed reviews since it was announced back in October that it would be airing on Nat Geo.  Many people believed that this movie was airing a few days prior to the election to bolster Pres. Obama votes.  And, because the owner of the film company, The Weinstein Company, who put this movie out, is a Democrat, people maybe also thought that his selling this to Netflix and Nat Geo prior to the election was to help Obama look better and receive more votes come Election Day. 

But, however, you see the release of this movie, it is still a movie worth watching, if you like documentaries and films that are about true events, with actual news clips surrounding this notorious manhunt for Osama Bin Laden.  As for the actors who star in this film, they are not popular or sought after my any means, but do work together in bringing this documentary to life.  A few of the details in the film were off (you will have to see the movie to see them), and the film doesn't actually end with the gruesome scenes of the death of Bid Laden. 

Who wasn't hoping for the capture and death of Osama Bin Laden?  This movie does a great job in retelling the story from the side for the Seals and those at the White House who put together this mission, which will surely go down in American history as one of the biggest manhunts of all time.  For a rushed, low budget film, it was made well, and really involves you emotionally in the mission at hand, even though you know how it will end.  No matter your political stand, this movie about manhunt mission of Bid Laden is surely one that will resonate with all Americans, and worth buying, or watching on Netflix.
