My Thoughts:

Are you expecting a new baby soon and already have children in the home?  Then, this board book will help calm some of their worries.  I know as it helped Savannah when we brought Arabella home.  Even though I shared this book with Savannah last month when Arabella was 9 months, it still helped, as Savannah is not getting to the point where she realizes Arabella isn't going anywhere, and that she is more mobile and getting into "Savannah's stuff."  

We noticed these past few months that Savannah has gotten more clingy than usually, and every time we would direct our attention to Arabella, Savannah would stop what she was doing and jump into our laughs or have a tantrum.  It didn't take long to realize she was getting jealous of Arabella and wondered if we still loved her as much, if not more, now that Arabella was here. 

This board book, which is beautifully illustrated reaffirms to children that even though a new baby is coming home (or in our case has been here 9 months), that Mommy and Daddy still love you.  After reading this book to Savannah the first time, I sat with her and talked about how we loved her very much and how lucky she was to have a little sister, who will soon be walking and talking and playing with.  Because she is only 2, we didn't go into great detail about new siblings, etc., but just filled her face with kissed and gave her a great big hug. :-)  She then, crawled off my lap and walked over to her little sister and gave her a great big hug and kiss and said, "Love Sissa." 

Now, we read this book at least once a week when we notice Savannah showing signs of jealousy or feeling left, and it helps reaffirm our love for her and Arabella.
