My Thoughts:

I ended up reading this book with my nephew when he would come and visit.  It ended up taking us a few nights to read it, as we would read about 20 pages per night.  What I loved about this book is that even the youngest of beginner readers could enjoy this book about Pete and Gabby, two bears who venture into a local town for the day.  The illustrations are simple, yet enjoyable to look at, and add to the fun adventure these two bears have when they visit a town who doesn't expect them.

What would you do if you saw a set of bears sitting on a part bench, playing soccer, having ice cream in an ice cream shop, or even helping sort mail at the post office?  Well, this book will share what the local people do when they see Gabby and Pete.

My nephew kept chuckling as I read about a day out with Gabby and Pete.  He thought it would be neat to see a bear at the ice cream shop, but didn't think he would want to meet them personally. :-)  Well, now he and other young readers can see what it would be like to have bears visit your town in this cute and easy to read book by Kay Winters.  You'll be turning the pages just to see what they will do next.

Disclosure: I was sent a copy of this book by the publisher in order to write up an honest review.  The views above are mine and mine alone.
