Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey: Fully Charged -- Arriving at the DCU Center in Worcester, MA on October 3rd - October 8th (Review)

I love surprising the girls with a night out.  Last night, my husband and I took them into Worcester, MA, where we took in the opening night show of Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey: Fully Charged, which is playing at the DCU Center through October 8th.  As soon as we took our seats, I couldn't believe how many people turned out on a school night for this show.  But, then when the show began, I could see why -- it was amazing.  From horses and ponies to elephants and fire jugglers, the audience was drawn in and captivated.  I even heard a few boos, when it came time for intermission, as many people, including ourselves didn't want to have to wait for the thrills to continue.  

We used the intermission to visit the concessions and let the girls get light up wands before the second half started.  And, like the first half, the audience roared with applause after each act.  You really don't know what goes into putting on these shows until you see the show in person.  I can only imagine the number of hours a week everyone in the show trains and practices their acts.  Whenever an act took to the high rises, the audience would get quiet, as we all held our breath, watched in amazement, and then breathed a sigh of relief before clapping, once they made it to safety.

I have been going to Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey shows since I was child, and love how I can carry on the tradition with my daughters. Even though they fell asleep 15 minutes before it ended, they loved the show, as did my husband and I.  So, if you are looking for something to do this week/end with your family, why not pick up tickets for Fully Charged, and make a day/night at the circus?  You will be glad you did!
