I was recently given the opportunity to try out My Chronicle Book's personalized books offerings. In the past, I had reviewed a few children's books from this publishing company, but only recently learned of their unique line of books, which could be personalized with your child's name and photo.
We have a handful of personalized books I have made for Savannah over these past two years, so I only found it fitting to make a book just for Arabella. After looking at their selection of personalized books available, I decided to go with the "princess" book.
The personalization process was easy, and within a few minutes, I had created a new account, personalized a book for Arabella and placed my order. As we snuggled together in bed, the girls were so excited not only with the story, but seeing Arabella's name throughout the pages. As for the illustrations, I feel this is what made the book. On a few occasion, Savannah asked to flip back just to admire some of the detailed illustrations. She also thought these were pretty and would point and tell Arabella about them. Even though Savannah is not talking fully yet, I think she has a secret language going with Arabella, as they both laughed and smiled together as Savannah shared her own thoughts on the story and illustrations.
When I got to the last page, Savannah asked for more and to have it read again. Unfortunately it was getting late, and Arabella fell asleep as the last words were being read. But, since this time, Arabella's personalized "Princess Arabella" book from My Chronicle Books has become a popular bedtime or nap time storybook selection. We can't go a week without reading this book at least three times. :-)
