My Thoughts:
With the girls being sick these past few days, we have been spending most of our days snuggling on the couch and watching cartoons. I remember when I was a little kid and was sick, my mom would bring out my favorite VHS tapes, make me soup and snuggle on the couch with me. Those were the good ole days. :-) And, now that I have children of my own, I love being able to do things my mom did with me, as well as share some of my favorite cartoons with my girls. So, when I stumbled across TV TOONS TO GO from Mill Creek Entertainment, I couldn't wait to review this 10 DVD collection, which features some of the best cartoons from yesteryear, including Heathcliff, Archie and the gang, and The Littles.
What were your favorite cartoons growing up? I bet some of them are including in this 110 episode collection, which features over 40 hours of classic cartoons. I watched half the hours with my daughters, as they have been sick since the weekend, and the remaining hours with my husband once they went to bed. We were both surprised that we both used to watch and enjoyed "Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego." Do you remember this show, which used to air on PBS? I would rush off the school bus just to watch this show at 3:30PM. My favorite part of the show as the acapella group.
While watching the cartoons with Savannah, she got excited to see "Postcards from Buster" and "The Busy World of Richard Scarry" and "Busytown Mysteries," as she watches these now on television. Her favorite cartoon from my generation was Heathcliffe. Every time she saw Heathcliffe appear on the screen, she would turn to me and say, "Meow!" :-) I loved being able to share my favorite cartoons with her, and seeing her react as I used to.

And, if you have a DVD player in your car, you can bring along this cartoon collection, as it comes with a fun, easy to carry along tin case with strap. We bought the girls a DVD player for the car for long car rides, and now they can enjoy family friendly favorites, while my husband and I listen from the front seat, and reminisce about our childhoods and shows we to rush home for or get up early on Saturday mornings.
With the holidays right around the corner, this DVD collection would make for the perfect gift for cartoon fanatics young and old. Or, if you do like my family and buy a gift for the whole family to enjoy, this would be perfect. You and your children will not grow tired of these popular episodes from the best cartoons that ever aired. Adults will love reminiscing about their favorite childhood shows, while they introduce these favorites to their children. And, children will have a blast with these entertaining cartoons, as they get to spend quality time with you. :-) So, what are you waiting for? Head on over to Mill Creek Entertainment and pick up TV TOONS TO GO today, before it sells out. And, don't forget to check out their other new releases and classic collections. I will be surprising a handful of my family and friends with DVDs that I found here, including the following:
