Introducing Wearables -- A Fun New Way to Wear Your Creations (Review)

Kid Constructions Wearables

Is your child still trying to decide what they will be for Halloween?  Are they looking for a unique costume idea?  If so, I have a great new product just for them -- Wearables.  What are Wearables, you ask?

Wearables™ by Kid Constructions™ is the unique collection of creative constructible toys that puts a new twist on a classic play pattern.  Featuring multiple die-cut corrugated pieces, Wearables offer construction play that transforms into role-play as children create, construct and wear their creations. All the elements combine for creative, crafting, imaginative, and active play that encourages fun, quality family time.

Currently, they offer the following Wearables, which are eco-friendly and 100% recyclable.

 Stunt Plane
 Princess Carriage
Dozer

I was sent one of each to try out and review, which are intended for children ages 5+.  Savannah instantly wanted to color the princesscarriage, while my nephew fell in love with the dozer.  For over 2 hours they sat together on the living room floor and colored each of the pieces to their Wearables toy.  And, when they were done, my husband and I helped them put the pieces together.  Older children, ages 8 and above would be able to put these cool Wearables together, but those under 8 would probably need assistance from a parent, as the instructions may at times be difficult to understand.

In under 15 minutes we had put together the dozer and princess carriage for the kids to try out.  Unfortunatley, Savannah didn't take to wearing her carriage.  Instead, she wanted to play with it on the floor and put her dolls and teddy bears inside.  And, eventually, with toddler play (note again that this is intended for 5 yrs.+ as they will take better care of it than a 2 year old would) we had to invest in a second carriage, as she squished her first carriage.  The second time around, she opted not to color it and just wanted us to put it together.

As for my nephew, he thought the dozer was so cool with its working scoop, and couldn't stop running around the backyard with it on.  And, when his dad came to pick him up, he told him that he had found the best Halloween costume yet, and asked when Halloween was, as he couldn't wait to wear it.  When he found out it was still a few weeks away, he was a little bummed out, but said he would keep good care of it, and had since found a space in the corner of his room, where he sits and plays it with, as he doesn't want to ruin it before the big night. :-)  I'd show you my nephew's dozer, but he wants to surprise his friends Halloween night with it -- thinks if they see it now, they will want one. :-)

What a fun new way to incorporate a child's love for coloring with wearable art.  Not only will they spend hours getting their dozer, princess carriage or stunt plane ready to wear, but they will spend hours wearing these fun and unique constructable toys around the house and outdoors.  Wearables are not just for Halloween.  They would make for great rainy day projects, as well as a wonderful surprise this upcoming holiday season.

So, if you are looking for a fun project that you can do with your children, or for that one of a kind costume for Halloween this year, then check out Wearables and order one of these constructable toys before they sell out!
