Hot Toy of the Holiday Season -- Chuggington Die-Cast Railway from TOMY (Review and Giveaway)

"Have a "traintastic" holiday season with new Chuggington Die-Cast Railway from TOMY. This is a first of its kind train set featuring a revolutionary track that is engineered for stability and sturdy connections, letting your child build elevated layouts like never before. Even better for you, the ability to build up instead of out, means the set takes up less space and keeps the floor clear of toys and clutter. With a wide assortment of collectible Chuggington characters and exciting playsets, your child can recreate favorite Chuggington episodes or imagine new adventures."

I recently had the opportunity to review the new Chuggington Die-Cast Railway with the girls, and have been having a blast with this train set.   If you follow my blog, then you know that Savannah is a huge Chuggington fan.  Her favorite character is Brewster, with Wilson a close second.  Do you children love this fun animated series, too?  If so, then they will also love the new Chuggington Die-Cast Railway set, which is unlike any other train set on the market.

"The Chuggington Die-Cast Railway 10-in-1 Layout Track, which retails for only $39.99, takes train play to new heights! Build any of the 10 featured layouts, or create your own! This Track Pack includes details on 10 different layouts to build up to 4 stories high! Includes 28 pieces, including a turn table. All of these pieces can also be combined with other Chuggington Die-Cast Railway playsets and expansion packs to create sky-high, action-packed layouts!"

Now, you would think that train sets are just for boys, but Savannah and Arabella had a blast creating a variety of train track layouts with their Daddy.  Every night after work, my husband would take them up into the playroom, and they would spend a couple of hours playing with the Chuggington Die-Cast Railway 10-in-1 Layout TrackThey loved seeing how high they could build the track, and especially loved the turn table and curving tracks.  Even Arabella had a blast putting the trains on the tracks and watching them slide down the winding tracks.

This playset is great for little hands, as Savannah was able to slide the track pieces together and help her Daddy create awesome layouts.  And, unlike other train sets on the market, we didn't have to worry about little pieces breaking off when she was putting together and taking the tracks apart.

What I love best about this popular animated series is that it contains both boy and girl characters and appeals to everyone.  Now Savannah can share her love with Chuggington with her Daddy and I, as she plays with her new train set.  We love watching her be creative and watching her put the die cast track pieces together to form different layouts.  And, once the track is set up, she loves moving her Chuggington trains along the tracks and saying, "Choo Choo!" :-)

Everyone who has seen this train set has fallen in love with it, and the kids can spend hours creating and playing with the layouts they put together.  With the holidays right around the corner, this train set would make for a great gift.  We  ended up picking up additional train characters and add-ons, and plan to have the train run underneath the tree.
