CampusBookRentals.com Helps Operation Smile Perform Life Changing Surgeries -- You Can Help Support This Great Cause By Renting Your Books Here

Operation Smile
Making a Difference in 2012 – Operation Smile

CampusBookRentals.com not only offers significant savings to college students and their families, by choosing to rent textbooks over purchasing them, but they have a charity side that I love.  For the second year in a row, they are working with Operation Smile as part of their 2012 Making a Difference Program.   Operation Smile, an out of this world, awesome organization, that performs life changing cleft lip surgeries on children whose families could not otherwise afford it. The long term Improvement in quality of life for the children that receive these surgeries is almost incomprehensible. We have committed to donating enough money to cover a minimum of 1,000 life changing surgeries.

So, how can you help this worthwhile cause?  Simple.  Rent your college textbooks from CampusBookRentals.com, and with each book rented, they will donate a portion of the proceeds to Operation Smile.  Not only will you be saving money on your textbooks by renting them instead of buying, but you will also feel great knowing that you are helping CampusBookRentals.com reach their goal of providing 1,000 life changing surgeries -- and, hopefully more!!

Even though it will be awhile until my girls are heading off to college, I have family and friends who are returning back to college, and would love learning about this option when it comes to picking up college textbooks for the upcoming winter and spring semesters.  Over ten years ago when I was in school, I was spending over $1000 on textbooks for a 6 class course load.  I would have to take out a mini loan from my parents just to afford my textbooks.  And, when it came time to sell back my books, which looked new, I would only receive 1/4 of what I paid. :-(  If you have children in school or are back in school, then you know how disheartening this is.  You know you need these books, but the cost associated with them can put a dent in your wallets or credit card -- that is, after you pay for your semester, which would always set me back over $4000 dollars.

But, now that I know about CampusBookRentals.com and their college textbook rental services, I will not hesitate sharing with college bound students. And, with their commitment to help Operation Smile, it only makes the deal even sweeter. :-)

Here is an example of how renting a college textbook compares to buying one at the school bookstore ---

I used to spend over $500 on my A&P textbooks and lab manuals.  So, when I browsed CampusBookRentals.com and saw a current book that is being used in the nursing program at a local college, I couldn't believe it.  A friend of mine spent $375 on the book used, while you can rent the same book online for $26.57 for the semester. Crazy, huh?  Who wouldn't want to rent their books over buying them?  So, what are you waiting for?  Bookmark CampusBookRentals.com and make sure you visit their site once the winter and spring semesters roll around.

Disclosure:  I was compensated for my time from CampusBookRentals.com, in order to inform my readers about their services and Operation Smile.
