With two young children in the house, I make sure to use natural cleaning products as much as possible. This includes dish liquid, as I am always washing Savannah's dinner plates and snack cups, and want to make sure she is not exposed to any unnecessary chemicals or residual smells. I was recently given the chance by Naturally Savvy to review Pomegranate and Lime Dish Liquid from Ecover Prior to this review I had not heard about this company, which uses 100% PlantPlastic bottles. What are 100% PlantPlastic bottles, you ask? These new, innovative bottles are made from sugarcane, rather than corn or petrochemical-based plastic. The true test was to see how this dish liquid stacked up against others I have used. I really put it to the test and squirted it over one of my 13x9 glass trays, which had lasagna leftovers stuck on it. After letting this dish liquid soak for a few minutes, I was able to effortlessly wipe away the stuck on lasagna noodles and burnt sauce and cheese. I was amazed at how quickly I was able to tackle stuck on dishes, and how I was doing so without harsh cleaning products.
Now that I have tried the Ecover brand, and continue to be impressed with its cleaning power, I can't wait to try their other natural cleaning products, including Laundry Powder ZERO and Automatic Dishwasher Tablets ZERO. Have you ever tried Ecover products? If so, which ones, and what did you think of them. Did they work much better or about the same as other natural cleaning products?
Well, off to do my dishes? Since using this dish liquid, I look forward to this relaxing chore, knowing that I will not have to use elbow grease to get dishes clean.:-)
