With summer upon us, what is the one thing you crave most? For my family it is ice cream. On the hottest of days, you will find my daughters and I enjoying a cold bowl of ice cream to help cool us off. But, if you are a type 2 diabetic or lactose intolerant (like me), then ice cream may not be on your menu plan. Oh, how I missed eating strawberry ice cream, and not have to run to the bathroom all afternoon. :-) But, after being sent the following samples -- yes, look at it all -- I now have a go to brand for tasty frozen treats my entire family can enjoy.
It took us over a week to try each and every pint of ice cream and frozen bars, but we did -- and, loved every minute of it. I have never been a fan of mint ice cream, but found myself loving the mint chocolate cookie ice cream from Artic Zero. Savannah didn't have a favorite, as she would eat up each and every flavor we gave her and ask for more. :-) My husband found himself scooping the coffee and chocolate peanut butter flavors most often -- that was, when he wasn't reaching for a chocolate covered ice cream bar. He loved that each bar was only 85 calories -- so, he was left content knowing that he was watching his waist line. Usually, he doesn't snack after 9 PM, but on a few recent hot nights, as I was preparing a bowl of ice cream for myself, he would reach and grab a bar, or even make a cup of ice cream.
So, as you can see, I had a great time sampling all the flavors of Arctic Zero ice cream and bars sent my way. And, each and every time my stomach thanked me, by not acting up. The best part was being able to offer to friends who is a type 2 diabetic and/or gluten allergies, so that they could cool down and enjoy America's favorite treat -- ice cream. You scream, I scream, we all scream for Arctic Zero ice cream!!!
