SYNOPSIS
Twinkle Toes: The Movie is
a sparkly, fun-filled adventure that will make audiences want to get up
and dance! Grace “Twinkle Toes” Hastings has a big secret: she gets
terrible stage fright in front of anyone except her fluffy friend
Walter. As Grace works to overcome her fears, and makes some super-cool
friends at her new school, she discovers that it’s OK to be herself and
shine!
My Thoughts:
Savannah and I watched this movie the other night during Mommy and Me time, and enjoyed it so much. I even surprised Savannah with a new pair of shoes from the SKECHERs girls' shoe line, in which this film was inspired. So, as Savannah sat on the couch with her new shoes, we watched this heartwarming film, that young girls will enjoy watching. This story dealt with courage and self expression, while teaching the importance of never giving up on your dream, and making sure you "sparkle" in whatever you do. Both Savannah and I enjoyed the music sequences and fashion in the movie.
This fun-filled movie about friendship and determination, is a great movie to watch with your daughter, and then follow up with a discussion afterwards. Even though my daughter is too young to really understand the film and its values, I know other young girls and their moms will have some amazing conversations as a result of watching it together, about their dreams and aspirations. If you can dream it, you can do, and this movie will have young girls believing in themselves and their abilities, all while adding a little sparkle and sass! You don't have to be a SKECHERS shoe lover, or even own a pair of their Twinkle Toes footwear line to enjoy this movie. Since watching this film the other night, we have seen it again two more time. Each and every time, we are entertained and walk away feeling happy! This is definitely one movie worth picking up and enjoying with your daughters.
