Metamorphic Toys -- Eco-Friendly Cardboard Box Mailbox for Kids (Review and Giveaway)

Metamorphic Toys Logo; Kids See a World of Color in Our Green Toys

Last Tuesday, I shared my Spotlight on Daddy interview with you from Dave Berglund, creator of Metamorphic Toys, a line of eco-friendly creative art products for children.  Click here if you missed my interview.  Today, I wanted to share more about the cardboard mailbox I reviewed, as well as offer a giveaway for Metamorphic Toys' Eco-Art U-Stick 'EMs, for one lucky reader to enjoy.

If you read my introduction from my Spotlight on Daddy post, then you would have seen a photo I included of Savannah playing with her cardboard mailbox.  I can't believe that out of all her toys, she keeps going back to this toy, which doesn't have bells or whistles, like other toys she is usually drawn to.  Savannah is at a stage, where she loved playing with stickers and placing them on everything.  There is where the sturdy and fun mailbox comes into play.  Since receiving, Savannah has dressed up her mailbox with her favorite stickers inside and out.  She is using her creative skills to add to color to the otherwise plain mailbox.

As soon as Savannah wakes in the morning, the first thing she does is run to her mailbox to see if she has mail.  Usually the night before, she will leave a coloring sheet she had colored that day in the box, which greets her when she opens the door.  I make sure to check it each night, and if I notice she forgot to place something inside, I will surprise her and leave her a new sheet of stickers.  You should see her face when she finds these sticker sheets, as she doesn't know who is leaving them for her.  Then, she spends the morning dressing up her mailbox with more stickers, and coloring and adding stickers to her coloring pages, which she will then leave for herself that night.

Here are some of the photos I have taken of Savannah playing with this cardboard mailbox from Metamorphic Toys.  As you can see, she is having a grand old time with her very own mailbox.

I was thinking about picking up a couple more mailboxes to put away for when Savannah and Arabella get older.  Then, I can leave them encouraging notes for them to retrieve and read in the AM, and they can use for Valentine's Day and Birthdays.  There are so many fun activities and make believe role playing that can utilize this easy to put together and oh so sturdy mailbox.  Savannah has dragged this mailbox all around the house since receiving, and it has still kept its shape.

So, if you are looking for a fun toy to share with your little one, or want to add a mailbox to their schoolhouse or post office setups, this would make a great addition.  And, while you are ordering this mailbox, why not check out Metamorphic Toys' other eco-friendly educational art products, including Eco-Art U-Stick 'EMs and Silly Signs.  I was also sent a set of their Eco-Art U-Stick 'EMs and spent an afternoon coloring them with Savannah.  When we were done, I cut them out and applied them to her mailbox for her with a glue stick.  What a fun rainy day activity these Eco-Art U-Stick 'EMs provide.  Each product is reasonably priced, and will provide hours of creative fun and enjoyment for young children.
