Feature Friday -- the grumpy princess (Review and Giveaway)

 

This past Monday, I shared my interview with Tarsia Mah, of the grumpy princess.  Click here if you missed my interview.  Today, I wanted to share my thoughts on the bath and body products from the grumpy princess line I was sent to review.  Because my daughters are too young to review these products, I enlisted the help of my niece, who couldn't wait to try them out.  

Before she tried the products, I showed her the website and asked her what she thought about it.  Kayla, who is 12, loved the use of the young girls on the website.  Because she saw these girls, who were around her age, she said she could relate to them, and their desire to have bath and body products just from them.  After we spent time on the website, I showed her the cute tote Tarsia sent me, which contained the following products, along with a notebook and a paper fortune teller:

Kayla loved the products, including the whimsical labels of the grumpy princess, Milla, who is Tarsia's daughter.   My niece had never used cloth wipes before, but after trying them she loved them.  She was amazed at the dirt that was on my face, that showed up on the wipe when she was done cleaning her face.  As for the attitude™ SPARKLE FACE & BODY LOTION, this was her favorite product out of the three, as she loved the scent.  She said it reminded her of the summer and the pina colada perfume I used to wear. :-)  And, with a small amount, she was able to apply all over her face and body.  Kayla loved her her elbows and knees felt baby soft.  I sent her home with the 2-in-1 hair and body wash, and then followed up a few days later to see what they thought of it.  Her mother said that she is loving it, and spending more time in the shower, making sure she is clean from head to toe, and then following up with the body lotion.  We have considered Kayla like a tom boy with all the boys around, but now when it comes to her skin and hair, she loves taking the time to pamper herself, like her mom does.  When I spoke with her, she told me she was running low on the lotion and wash, and had asked her mom to get her some.  And, with summer camp around the corner, she wanted to make sure she had her tote full of the grumpy princess products to take along and show off to her cabin mates.  "Wow," who knew bath and body products like these would want to make a tween shower and get cleaned up.  My sister-in-law used to have to pull teeth, to get her to take a shower, let along apply body lotion.  Now, she can't get her out of the shower. :-)  I guess she is not a grumpy princess any longer!!!

So, if you have child between the ages of 6-12, who would love skin care products made especially for them, why not consider buying any or all 3 of the products from the grumpy princess collection?  Kayla is loving them, as are so many other young girls.
