Father's Day Gift Giving Guide -- Double Cross Vodka Bottle, Engraved For Father's Day (Review)

Your father taught you how to ride a bike, bought you your first car, watched all your extremely low-level soccer games, bought you your second car when you totaled your first one, built a loft for your dorm-room bed, and paid your cellphone bill for at least three years too many

That’s the kind of man who can use a drink. So ship back the monogrammed Snuggie, and instead order him a bottle of Double Cross Vodka and have it engraved with a personal message at no extra cost … Put HAPPY FATHER’S DAY on one side and your father’s name on the other. Any custom message is possible. Heck, if you’re a dad and YOU want one put your name on it.

Handcrafted in small batches in the Tatra Mountains of Slovakia. Made with winter wheat and mountain spring water, each batch is seven-times distilled and seven-times filtered resulting in an award-winning vodka of unrivaled purity and character. 95 points in Wine Enthusiast and two gold medals at the World Spirits Competition.

My Thoughts:

I was sent a Double Cross Vodka engraved Father's Day bottle for review, and was impressed with the engraving.  I have never seen a bottle of vodka, let alone other spirit engraved in such a way.  At first, I didn't want to open it and try the vodka, as it looked like a bottle that could be kept on the bar shelf and admired.  But, having never tried this brand of vodka, my husband and I were eager to see how it tasted.  After the first sip, my husband and I looked at one another, and had the same thought, what have we been drinking all these years, as this vodka was hands down the best we have had.  Other brands didn't even come close to the pure and silky smooth vodka, which we paired with soda.  We could also pick up hints of citrus and white-pepper, with this luxury vodka, which is available in many trendy restaurants and hot spots, as well as enjoyed by celebrities.  From now on, when we need to restock our vodka supply for cocktail making, we will be reaching for a bottle of Double Cross Vodka.

So, if your father has a bar or liquor cabinet, or enjoys collecting and enjoying fine spirits, why not pick him up a bottle of Double Cross Vodka.  You can engrave the bottle with a personal message, including Happy Father's Day, or your dad's name.  Now, what father wouldn't want to have a bottle of vodka with his name engraved on it?  And, when the bottle is empty, he can still enjoy it as a keepsake on his bar shelf.  I know this as my husband ended up putting his empty bottle on his bar shelf, after we finished it with family and friends over the Memorial Day weekend.  As we passed the bottle around, everyone commented on how unique and cool the engraving looked, and how wanted a bottle for themselves.  A few friends even talked about ordering a few bottles as wedding gifts for friends they know who are getting married, as well as a college graduate gift for their son.  Even if you don't order in time for Father's Day, this engraved bottle of vodka will make the perfect gift for any adult (over the age of 21).

I am so glad I was able to sample this great tasting vodka firsthand, and see the engraved bottle up close.  It is really remarkable, and adds to the classic feel of the bottle and vodka. This is definitely a go-to gift for upcoming birthday and Christmas gifts for 2012.

Disclosure:  I was sent a sample from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  The views above are mine and mine alone.
