A few weeks ago, I sat in on the Slice of Romance webinar by Dr. Oetker Ristorante and Richard Vajda. I admit it, as a busy mom on the go, there are nights I have to pull a frozen pizza from the freezer and heat up, as I haven't prepared anything for dinner during the day, or need to go food shopping. On these nights, my husband and I usually wrap up dinner with a glass of wine, to help us unwind from a hectic day. Before this webinar, I had no idea you could pair wines with pizza. That shows how much of a wine connoisseur I am. Usually, I would just pour a glass of whatever wine we had chilled in the fridge. But, after this webinar, which lasted less than an hour, I walked away with some great pairing tips, thanks to Richard Vayda. In addition, I learned about Dr. Oetker Ristorante pizzas, which I had seen in the frozen food aisle, but never tried. As as thank you for attending the webinar, I was sent a great gift pack, which included the following:
· Bottle of wine from Richard Vayda’s list of pairings
· Wine tote
· Set of red votive candle holders, candles included
· List of Richard’s wine and pizza pairings
· Dr. Oetker Ristorante reusable canvas bag
· Dr. Oetker Ristorante coupon
I used the coupon the other day to buy the Pizza Quattro Formaggi from Dr. Oetker Ristorante pizzas , and chilled the sparkling Italian wine I was sent. And, that night, after the girls went to bed, my husband and I enjoyed pizza, a movie, great conversation and sparkling Italian wine. What a great evening! We couldn't believe how good this thin crust pizza was. And, paired with the wine we were sent, it added to the flavor. From now on, I will be using the tips I learned from Richard and this webinar, in helping me pair wines with Dr. Oetker Ristorante frozen pizzas.
