Since receiving the bagwell from Stacey Roberts, a short time ago, preparing freeze it and forget meals have become so easy. Stacey, my second spotlight mom this week, created this unique kitchen gadget that really makes holding open resealable plastic bags a breeze. How many times have you tried to prop open a resealable bag, only to have it collapse while you are pouring a sauce or other liquid? I can't tell you how many times I have had to clean up messes from spilt bags. But, since receiving the bagwell, this kitchen headache is gone. I am loving all the uses I am finding each day for this bag holder. Savannah even uses it to help her hold open the resealable bags that hold her felt board book pieces, making her feel more independent.
Here is the bagwell in action:
This must have kitchen gadget retails for only $9.99 (plus shipping and handling), and makes for a great hostess or housewarming gift, as well as for anyone who spends time preparing and storing meals in the kitchen. Head back here on Friday, when I will share more about this handy gadget, as well as offer one lucky reader a chance to win a bagwell for themselves. But, in the meantime, please enjoy my Spotlight on Mommy interview with Stacey Roberts, the creator of the bagwell.

Briefly explain your business. How did it come about?
While attending college and living in a very small apartment I would store leftovers in resealable plastic bags since I could flatten them to fit in my tiny refrigerator, and I always wished I had something to help me hold them open to fill them. Several years later my husband and I had my idea refined and designed and started producing bagwells.

What has been a struggle while starting up your company?
Really the biggest thing is wondering why we can't find a company in the states to manufacture the bagwells as cheaply as China, because I would much rather do that.
