Pasta Prima Pasta -- Great Refrigerated Pasta for Busy Moms on the Go (Review)

The Pasta Prima brand of premium quality, hand crafted filled pasta was introduced in 1992. Since then, the brand has grown into a complete line of 100% natural ravioli, including new organic and gluten-free products. Pasta Prima ravioli is still made in small batches with only the finest ingredients, sourced locally when possible. Please look for us in Club stores and in the refrigerated pasta section of grocery stores. More information about where we are sold is at www.pastaprima.com. We are proudly American owned.

Here is what we mean by natural: ingredients you recognize, nutritious foods, no artificial ingredients, no preservatives, no fancy processing. Our kitchen cooks over ten 100% Natural recipes.

Organic and Gluten Free

We have expanded our kitchen to include two gluten free and three organic ravioli flavors. We listened to your feedback! Try our new and exciting gluten free pastas - almost revolutionary! They have the same taste and texture of a wheat pasta, without any gluten! The flour we use is made from rice and corn for those avoiding wheat, or who just want to take a break from it. If you can eat wheat, try our delicious new organic line. Both of these lines come in renewable packaging: plant-based plastic.

My Thoughts:

As a busy mom on the go, I am always looking for healthy foods that I can prepare quickly, while not sacrificing on flavor, or serving my family unnecessary overprocessed foods.  Recently, I stumbled across Pasta Prima pasta products at my local grocery store and am so glad that I did.

We tried the Five Cheese Ravioli, the Grilled Chicken and Mozzarella Ravioli, and Pasta Prima's fettuccine pasta.  In under 10 minutes, I am able to boil to water, cook the pasta and heat up pasta sauce, and get a wholesome meal on the table for my family to enjoy.  Each of the ravioli products that I tried were so plump and full of cheese.  And, unlike other prepared raviolis that I have tried in the past, Pasta Prima's products don't come apart during the cooking process, and have the cheese leak out.  Did I mention that these pasta products are affordable.  My local supermarket was selling the raviolis for only $3.99, and the pasta for $2.99.  One package alone feeds my husband, daughter and I, with leftover for my husband to take for lunch the next day.

If you are a busy mom on the go, or are at a loss during the week on what to prepare for dinner, why not try Pasta Prima pasta?  You will be surprised at how good it tastes, and how quickly you can prepare the meal.  The first time I made the Five Cheese Ravioli and served it to my husband, he thought I had ordered out from a local Italian restaurant, as they tasted so fresh and looked like they were hand-prepared.  But, I couldn't lie -- so, I showed him the package and talked about how quick and easy it was to prepare.  Now, we are Pasta Prima fans, and can't wait to try the other flavors available.

Disclosure:  I was sent samples in order to write up an honest review.  The views above are mine and mine alone.
