‘BRUSH YOUR TEETH AT WORK DAY’ ENCOURAGES AMERICANS
TO ADD THIRD BRUSHING OCCASION TO THEIR DAY
TO ADD THIRD BRUSHING OCCASION TO THEIR DAY
Third Annual Event Scheduled for Thursday, April 19, 2012
Less than half of U.S. office workers keep a toothbrush at the
office so that they can give their pearly whites a cleaning during the
workday, according to a survey commissioned by Church & Dwight Co.,
Inc., the maker of ARM & HAMMER Spinbrush ProClean battery-powered
toothbrushes and ARM & HAMMER Toothpaste. And of those workers who
already take a toothbrush to work, about half of them are not brushing
at the office on a daily basis.
To encourage more Americans to add a third brushing occasion to their day, ARM & HAMMER Spinbrush ProClean battery-powered toothbrushes has declared the third annual “Brush Your Teeth At Work Day” for Thursday, April 19, 2012.
“The first step toward establishing a tradition of brushing your teeth at the office begins with ensuring your desk is stocked with the necessary supplies,” said Tim Seitter, VP of Oral Care Marketing, Church & Dwight Co., Inc. “We encourage workers across America to bring an ARM & HAMMER Spinbrush battery-powered toothbrush and ARM & HAMMER Advance White Toothpaste to the office on April 19 and pledge to start the habit of brushing at work every workday.”
The survey uncovered that approximately four out of every five workers who brush at the office are still using an old-fashioned manual brush instead of a battery-powered toothbrush. Seitter suggests that national “Brush Your Teeth at Work Day” is the perfect time to make the upgrade to a battery-operated “power” toothbrush.
“ARM & HAMMER Spinbrush ProClean provides a more efficient clean than a manual brush, removing up to 70% more plaque in hard-to-reach places,*” Seitter said. “And with time at a premium in the workplace, a battery-powered toothbrush may be more efficient in making your mouth feel its best, allowing you to finish the workday with confidence.”
Seitter also stated that by brushing with ARM & HAMMER Advance White Toothpaste, people can experience a deeper clean, removing up to 5X more plaque in hard-to-reach places.** ARM & HAMMER Advance White Toothpaste contains baking soda, which has long been recognized for its health benefits, such as acting as a natural buffer that maintains good pH levels inside the mouth by neutralizing acids, helping keep breath fresh for hours.
Other findings from the survey found that:
• 83 percent of those who brush their teeth at work do so after lunch while the second most popular occasion to do so is right after breakfast (28 percent of respondents).
• Men are more likely than women to have a power toothbrush at the office (instead of a manual one), as 24 percent of males responding said they use a power toothbrush in the office washroom, while only 13 percent of females responded the same.
• Approximately 29 percent of those who keep a toothbrush at the office claim they brush more than once a day.
Don’t let national ‘Brush Your Teeth at Work Day’ pass by without pledging to improve your brushing routine!
