One of my favorite times of the day is when I get to give Savannah and Arabella baths. I love watching Savannah splash around and play with her toys, and then follow it up with a nice, calming massage with baby lotions, which usually leads to both girls falling fast asleep a short time later. As I have stated in previous posts, I have to be picky when it comes to bath and body products I use with them, as they both have sensitive skin like me. I learned this the hard way, after giving Savannah a bubble bath, only to have her break out in hives and get a bad diaper rash, that made her cry for a week straight.
So, when I stumbled across Baby Spa and their line of baby bath and body products, I made sure to read the ingredients before using them with Savannah and Arabella. I was excited to receive samples for both of them to use, as the Baby Spa product line is broken down into two stages -- Stage 1: Newborn to Crawlers; Stage 2: Walker to 4+ years. I was sent samples sizes of their body lotion and face creams from both stages to try out. Since welcoming Arabella in November, she has had a case of infant seborrhea, where the area around her sideburns are dry, as well as around her eyebrows. I have tried various lotions, but none seem to sooth and moisturize these dry patches. So, when I received the face cream from Baby Spa, I didn't hold high hopes that this would do the trick and moisturize and calm these irritated spots on Arabella's face. At first, I didn't see an improvement. But, after the third day, these rough spots began to get smooth, and the redness began to fade. I couldn't believe it. It has been two weeks since I began using the face cream and body lotion on Arabella, and her dry patches are gone, while the rest of her body is soft, like a baby's bottom.
As for Savannah, she loved helping be apply the body lotions after each bath. We both loved the fresh scent of the lotion. And, unlike other body lotions, this cream did not leave a greasy sheen after applying, so I didn't have to worry about her rubbing and getting it into her eyes. I also found that after eating tomatoes (which she loves, but also makes her break out in a rash), that the Baby Spa face cream quickly soothed the red, irritated skin on her face.
I love how this eco-friendly product line from Baby Spa is 98-100% natural. Baby Spa uses only extracts and oils from plants, roots and flowers to deliver gentle, vitamin-rich skin care. These products are really gently on a baby and toddler's skin. I will definitely be recommending this brand to new moms and moms of infants and toddlers, who like me look for eco-friendly and natural products that they can use of their child's sensitive skin. I can't wait to try Baby Spa's Shea Butter Diaper Cream and their Massaging Lotion on the girls. If they are like the face cream and body lotion, they will offer a calming and soothing effect on them, which makes for both a happy baby and happy mommy. :-)
