Premium Organic Cafe -- Chocolate for the True Chocolate Lover (Review and Giveaway)

I recently had the opportunity to samples organic chocolate from the Premium Organic Cafe.  They offer three lines of chocolate, which include the following:

·         Theo’s Chocolates Fantasy Flavors - Theo’s is the first certified organic and fair trade  
          bean-to-bar chocolate factory in the U.S.

·         Lulu’s Chocolates – raw chocolate from Sedona chocolatier.

·         Gnosis Chocolates – raw chocolate from New York City chocolatier

The kind folks at Premium Organic Cafe sent me a sample from each line, and I have to say my favorite by far was their Gnosis Chocolate Dazzling Darkness Bar.  I was told that you had to be a true fan of pure dark chocolate to like this bar, so as soon as I heard this, I couldn't wait to try it out.  

Gnosis Chocolate Dazzling Darkness Bar

Dazzling Darkness is for those who want chocolate so intensely dark that no light can escape. They crave a cacao-crammed, raw, bitter taste as dense as the dime-sized universe at the Big Bang. If Dazzling Darkness weren't as smooth and creamy, it would be like eating the chocolate bean, itself? the dark chocolate lover?s dream come true!

Both my husband and I are dark chocolate lovers, but after the first bite, he said this bar was too dark for him.  I couldn't believe his reaction.  I guess you have to grow a liking to this pure, raw chocolate.  Seeing that he didn't care for, meant that I could eat the rest of the Gnosis Chocolate Dazzling Darkness Bar myself (Yum!).  

As for the two other samples I received, Lulu's Chocolate Maca Chunk Bar and Theo Chocolate Fantasy Flavor Bread & Chocolate, these were both tasty.  I couldn't get over how each of the chocolate lines from Premium Organic Cafe had their own unique taste.  

Theo Chocolate Fantasy Flavor Bread & Chocolate

Who ever thought to pair chocolate with bread, to make a chocolate bar?  I chose to sample the Theo Chocolate Fantasy Flavor Bread & Chocolate bar, as it sounded interested, and  that I am also a huge bread lover (come on, what Italian doesn't like bread).  With the first bite, I could taste the crunch of the bread.  My husband didn't know what it was at first, until I told him it was a combination of chocolate and bread. "Hmm," he said, before proceeding to take a few more bites.  This chocolate bar turned out to be his unexpected favorite of the three.

 

Lulu's Chocolate Maca Chunk Bar

Maca Love Bar embraces Aztec Crunch to treat your taste buds to a new dimension. Side effects may include moaning aloud in delight and/or the inability to stop smiling. 13% maca, 62% cacao.

Who liked Lulu's Chocolate Maca Chunk Bar the most -- well, leave that to our daughter, Savannah.  I ended up giving her little pieces each day as an after lunch snack.  In addition to melting in her mouth, she ended up having a chocolate beard each and every time she ate her Lulu's Chocolate Maca Chunk Bar.  Just look at her -- she would be a lousy concealer :-)

Overall, we had a great time sampling chocolate from Premium Organic Cafe's three product lines.  And, when special occasions or cravings for chocolate hit, I know where I am going first -- to the Premium Organic Cafe, to place an order, and have their chocolates shipped right to my door.  I already asked my husband to fill my Easter basket with this luscious, artisan crafted, and oh so creamy tasting chocolate.  And, then, Mother's Day is right around the corner.  Wonder what I am going to ask for?  :-)
