My Thoughts:
Are you looking for a great adventure series for your tweens and teens to watch? Then you need to check out the hit series Redakai: Conquer the Kair, and its new DVD release “The Journey Begins. This animated series debuted in July of last year, and has since gained a huge following of young viewers, ages 6-14 years of age. I have seen this series a few times in passing on Saturday mornings, as my husband has taken a liking to it, and watches it while feeding and rocking our 3 month old daughter. This television series follows three young teenagers, as they seek out a mystical energy called Kairu. My young nephew is hooked on this show. So, when I surprised him the other day with this new 2 disc DVD set, which contains 13 episodes, special features that provides fans of the show with the story behind Redakai titled "Ky's Quest" and "The Power of Redakai," plus an exclusive, limited edition BLAST3D™ trading card, he couldn't stop jumping around in excitement. As soon as I handed him the discs, he had his mom put them in the DVD player. And, for over an hour, he was glued to the television, as he watched some of his favorite Redakai episodes. Since dropping this DVD set off, my sister-in-law has said that my nephew has been keeping busy watching 1-2 episodes a day, and can't stop talking about each with her and the rest of the family. I couldn't believe that a series would have such a profound impact on a child, but this series has since its debut last July. When I recently talked about this with a group of moms at my local mommy and me meetup, they, too, said their older boys were addicted to this show on the Cartoon Network. A few had plans to pick up this DVD set and give as an Easter gift to their Redakai fans.
So, if you have Redakai fans in your house, or are looking for a new animated series to introduce your children to, why not pick up this DVD set today. In addition to the two discs, this set also includes a Blast 3D trading card.
Disclosure: I was sent a copy of this DVD in order to write up an honest review. The views above are mine and mine alone.
