In an effort to continually appeal to the tastes of its customers, McDonald’s announces the addition of five bakery items in its New England and Albany, NY area restaurants. The new bakery offerings include cheese danish, blueberry muffin, multi-grain berry muffin, banana bread and mini vanilla scones. The items are available throughout the day.
McDonald’s new bakery offerings are made with high quality ingredients like real dairy butter, whole grain oats and real fruits like blueberries, raspberries and banana puree. All bakery offerings at McDonald’s contain no preservatives. The new multi-grain berry muffin contains 280 calories, has zero grams of trans fat per labeled serving and is a good source of fiber.
“We know baked goods appeal to New Englanders and are thrilled to offer our customers these delicious bakery offerings,” says Rachel Deane, local McDonald’s owner/operator and president of the Connecticut and Western Massachusetts McDonald’s Owner/Operator Association. “Whether it’s grabbing a bakery item for breakfast on the go or stopping by for an afternoon snack, our customers now have more affordable and portable options when they visit our restaurants.”
McDonald’s has a track record of introducing products to appeal to regional tastes. In 2005, McDonald’s restaurants throughout New England and Albany, NY introduced Newman’s Own Organics Coffee and later, in 2006, introduced Newman’s Own Organics Iced Coffee. The Newman’s Own Organics blend, made exclusively for McDonald’s, is a combination of light and medium roast with a smooth body and clean finish. A cup of Newman’s Own Organics Coffee is the perfect pairing to the new Bakery items.
