Summary:
Numberlys presents a fanciful
depiction of the origins of the alphabet and is the newest interactive
epic from Moonbot Studios, the creators of The Fantastic Flying Books of
Mr. Morris Lessmore. Numberlys is a story App celebration of the early
fantasy epics King Kong, Metropolis and Flash Gordon with a dollop of
the Marx Brothers, a splash of the Fleischer Studios technicolor
Superman and a little bit of the 1939 New York World’s Fair.
Numberlys is huge in scope. It's an adventure! A mystery! A game! And a story!
It's a new way to entertain, learn and rediscover our storytelling "golden age".

My Thoughts:
This was the second app I have tried from Moonbot Studios, with the first being The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris
Lessmore. I was blown away with the graphics both of these apps, and can see why they recently won the Academy Award for best short film, for The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris
Lessmore. In The Numberlys, app users helping the character invent the alphabet, by turning numbers into letters. This is done through 18 fun games that are embedded in the story, and need to be completed before the next letter is created. Savannah had so much fun learning the alphabet, as well as seeing the cute characters add a sound to each letter. What a great teaching tool this app is, and with the use of eye catching black and white animation, it will keep young children engaged from A-Z. I found myself playing this app while the girls were napping. I was captivated by the science fiction feel of the app, and how each letter was created out of numbers. In addition to teaching the alphabet to young children, this app also proves as a way to show their importance of friendship and teamwork. With the help of the app user, these 5 friends worked together on deciding the order and sound of each letter of the alphabet. Without teamwork and comprise, the alphabet would not come about.
I just can't stop raving about this and the other apps from Moonbot Studios. Both children and adults will love this app, and it will provide hours of entertain, all while educating the young ones. If you love animated short films, then you will love The Numberlys by Moonbot Studios. This is definitely a company worth following, and buying each app that offer, as you will not be disappointed!
