About Amy- I think the fact that I hate writing about myself probably says more about me than I could ever say in words, but Ill give it a shot. I am an Army wife, retired homeschool mom, artist. I love to read and travel, I would rather be on the beach with my husband than anywhere else. For now though I am usually at home working on my Etsy shops, out honing my photography skills or curled up with my cat reading a good book. We recently moved to Fort Knox, Ky, after 6 years living in Texas and Georgia the cold has me shivering indoors a lot, so I have plans for my shops to grow.

I've spent 20 years following my husband around the world and have had the opportunity to learn from many talented artists over that time. but, my daughter actually taught me how to make jewelry and now that she is a college student, studying art, I am free to give jewelry the time I need to learn and grow my talents. I still learn from other artists and am inspired by so many people here on Etsy!! I think we may be born with talent or an eye for color, but spending time with creative people is just a spark to the flame.

Our family is creative as a whole, my husband is a unique personality. I say he's a soldier by day and and an artist at night. He paints, draws, and has recently begun to learn glass etching and metal stamping. He writes poetry and is pretty much overall talented and can create something out of nothing at the drop of a hat. I wish I had his kind of talent and creativity, but I learn from him all the time.
