My Thoughts:

Savannah began walking a week after her first birthday.  And now, 7 months later, she has begun to learn how to climb things, go up and down stairs and explore more.  Because she is more active, I play close attention to the types of shoes she wears, making sure they offer a slip resistant sole.  When I stumbled across the pediped Originals line, I had to get a pair to try out with Savannah.  The Originals soft soled shoes mimic a child' bare foot, making them feel more comfortable and more prone to keep their shoes on and walk with confidence.

I was sent a pair of pediped's Grib 'n' Go Isabella Brown shoes, which are part of their spring/summer collection (now available online and in select stores) to try out with Savannah.  First off, I have to say how much I love the new spring styles of pediped.  As soon as I lifted the cover off the shoe box, I fell in love with these brown Mary Jane style shoe.  Savannah especially loved the bow on the front of the shoe, which she loves to touch each time she helps me put her shoes on.  The shoes looked so comfortable, and when I put them on Savannah for the first time, she smiled and ran around trying them out. Usually with new shoes, she will either wear for a few minutes and then pull off, or take them off the second they are on.  But, not these Grip 'n' Go shoes.  She walked with more confidence, and each step she took had a bounce to it.  And, with the various terrains she used these shoes on, she remained steady as she walked -- without slipping!  I have read and also found that soft-soled shoes mimic bare feet, which Savannah loves to be in, so I am loving the durable, soft leather soles of these shoes from pediped.  Because Savannah is still learning how to walk and run on her feet, I make a point to keep her in shoes for most of the day when she is indoors.  I find that when she is barefoot, she stumbles and slips more.  So, to be safe, soft soled shoes are a must, to prevent unnecessary falls.

Savannah loved the velcro fasteners on her new shoes, as she is learning how to dress herself from head and toe.  The velcro fasteners make it easy for her to slip the shoes on and velcro to keep on.  She loves when she accomplishes something as small as putting on shoes, as it is a big deal for a toddler.  And, each and every day we pick out an outfit for Savannah to wear, she always grabs these shoes to wear with them.  Once the shoes are on, she doesn't want to take them off!  I guess they feel as comfortable as they look.

So, now that spring is here, why not head on over to the pediped website and check out their new spring/summer shoe collections.  They offer shoes for infants and toddlers, from crawlers to walking toddlers.  And, I can't get over how affordable these shoes are.  Like I said, Savannah can't go anywhere without her new Isabella Brown Grip 'n' Go shoes, and they are holding up with the daily grind she puts them through.  Other shoes would have begun to break down by now, but not these shoes.  They still look brand new, which is amazing.  I am loving Savannah's new pediped Grip 'n' Go shoes, and know you and your child(ren) will too!
