My Thoughts:
“Turtle: The Incredible Journey" is the first film to be released from SeaWorld Pictures, a newly formed division of SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment (formed in April 2011). What a way to make an entrance with this underwater documentary, that is not only fun to watch, but is also educational, for the entire family. This award-winning documentary follows the migration of a female loggerhead turtle from hatching to maturity, and then returning back home to the shores of FL to nest. “Turtle: The Incredible Journey" helps to educate about the beauty of these threatened species, and how we need to do our part to make sure they are around for years to come.
Even if you are not a sea turtle lover, you will love the beautiful underwater images. I was intrigued by this breed of turtles, and was amazed at how this one female loggerhead left her nesting grounds in FL, only to return years later to lay her eggs, and continue her family lineage. Sea creatures have always impressed me, and SeaWorld is always a fun place to visit with family when in Orlando. I will not look at loggerhead turtles the same again when I see them at SeaWorld and at other aquariums. They are truly a beautiful and smart breed, while being so fragile and in the wide open ocean.
So, if you are looking for a great underwater film to share with your family, why not pick up a copy of “Turtle: The Incredible Journey" today.
Disclosure: I was sent a copy of this DVD from the vendor, in order to write up an honest review. The views above are mine and mine alone.
