Wolfgang Puck who has a new line of Italian sauces.  Chef Puck partnered with Campbell’s Soup Company to create four varieties of restaurant inspired sauces, including Four Cheese, Arrabbiata, Creamy Vodka, and Tomato Basil. The sauces are 100% all natural and are great for simply pouring over pasta or using on homemade pizza.  You could either swap Wolfgang’s sauce with your typical pantry sauce or try one of Wolfgang’s recipes created specifically for the launch.

Creamy Vodka

Toast to life with my rich, flavorful blush sauce. It starts with vine-ripened tomatoes and fresh cream, seasoned with garlic, extra virgin olive oil, and cracked black pepper. I then finish it with Ricotta, Romano, grated Parmesan and a splash of vodka.

Arrabbiata

Fire up the flavor of your restaurant inspired dishes with this wonderfully complex marriage of flavor and heat. My arrabbiata is a delicate balance of vine-ripened tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, roasted red peppers and garlic, enhanced with finely crushed red pepper.

Four Cheese

This isn't any ordinary Four Cheese sauce. I blend Asiago, Ricotta, and grated Parmesan cheeses with vine-ripened tomatoes, garlic and cracked black pepper. Then I add a special touch… Mascarpone cheese. The sweet creaminess of the Mascarpone creates my signature flavor.

 

Tomato Basil

 

Stir restaurant inspiration into your classic dishes with this special blend of vine-ripened tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, garlic, and sweet basil. My take on Tomato Basil makes ordinary dishes extraordinary - anything from seafood to pasta.

My Thoughts:

I had the opportunity to try of Wolfgang Puck’s new Arrabbiata sauce.  If you have followed my other blog posts, then you know that my family loves spicy foods.  So, I was excited when I was sent a jar of this spicy pasta sauce to try.  I ended up making a batch of Italian stuffed sausage tortellini's, and served this sauce on the side.  I didn’t tell my husband it was a new sauce, or spicy, as I wanted to see his reaction.  After the first bite, he said, "Is this new?  It is nice and spicy!”  I showed him the jar, and he couldn’t believe that you could achieve such a great flavor from a jarred pasta sauce.  You could actually see and taste the vine-ripened tomatoes, peppers and garlic used in this sauce. And, the heat is brought with the finely crushed red pepper flakes. It is not overly spicy, but just right! We continued eating and dipping our crusty Italian bread into the sauce.  By the end of the dinner, my husband was scraping up every last drop with his finger.  He told me that we need to buy this brand from now on.  I told him about the three other flavors, and how I wanted to try a few recipes from Wolfgang Puck’s website, as well as use the Four Cheese sauce in my baked ravioli dish.

So, if you love restaurant-quality pasta sauces, that taste like they took hours to prepare and simmer, then you will definitely love Wolfgang Puck’s new line of sauces.  Look for them at your favorite grocery store, in the pasta sauce aisle.  I will be picking up a few jars this weekend, to have on hand in the pantry.
