I was first introduced to Chai tea back in 2007, when my husband and I visited Savannah, GA for the first time.  Usually I am good when it comes to packing a snack bag, which includes my green tea bags, and breakfast snacks, but for some reason, I had grabbed my husband's Chai tea bags instead.  So, after arriving late the night before and not getting a comfortable night sleep due to a hard mattress, I was looking forward to a warm cup of green tea (my morning ritual next to coffee).  I guess I was still half asleep when I made my cup because I couldn't tell that it wasn't green tea until I took a sip.  I first thought that I had a cold and my taste buds were off.  But, then I looked at the tea bag label and noticed it was chai tea.  Prior to this oops moment, I would have dumped the cup out in the sink and made a fresh cup of my green tea.  I was too tired to do this, so I sat there and drank this Chai tea.  Surprising it wasn't bad -- instead, it was really good!  Why hadn't I given Chai tea a chance before?  Since that day, I have been sampling various brands of Chai tea to find the one that I love the most.  It wasn't until I stumbled upon Oregon Chai that I could say I have my go-to Chai tea brand.

While my husband instantly became a fan of the Oregon Chai Energía herbal tea, I found it hard to choose a favorite from the three.  Depending on my mood and time of time, I would brew a particular cup.  In the AM upon waking, I would make a cup of the Original Chai, as it seemed to offer me that slow pick me up that I need to start the day.  I love the infused flavors that are found in Chai teas, especially the cinnamon flavor.  Then, in the late afternoon,  I would find myself making a cup of Energía Chai tea, to wake up my senses and give me that must needed boost of energy, to continue of with taking care of my two girls, under the age of 2.  And, as a way to unwind and de-stress, I would make a cup of Dreamscape Chai tea.  I loved the subtle flavor profile of each chai tea, and could tell only natural, organic ingredients were used, without adding any unnecessary flavorings.  And, I loved how I didn't get the jitters or slow crash with this Chai tea, as I would if I drank coffee throughout the day.  Since adding this to my daily regime, I feel more invigorated and sharper.  I am so glad I stumbled across chai tea years ago, and have finally found my go-to brand to satisfy my chai tea fix each day.
