The “Dino Dan – Dino Trackers” DVD contains five adventure stories featuring a boy nicknamed Dino Dan (played by Jason Spevack).  He’s a curious 10-year-old who imagines there are real dinosaurs living all around him – but only he can see them!  The DVD’s interactive bonus content adds to the enjoyment.  It is priced at $12.99 suggested retail.

Dinosaurs never lose their appeal to kids of all ages – but what makes the “Dino Dan” series unique is that it was developed under the guidance of paleontologists at Canada's Royal Tyrrell Museum in Alberta.  In fact, your readers may be interested to know that a real-life paleontologist at the museum named Dr. Don Henderson is the inspiration for the “Dino Dan” character! 

---MY THOUGHTS---

I first stumbled upon Dino Dan while flipping though the channels while Savannah was taking her afternoon nap.  Because she is an avid iPad fan and watches television shows on her Daddy's iPad, I always make an effort to screen shows prior to adding the to the iPad.  The cute little boy, named Dino Dan, caught my eye, and made me keep the television on this Nick Jr. show.  I loved watching this curious boy set out on adventures learning about and sharing facts (like the ones above) regarding dinosaurs.  He made learning about dinosaurs fun for both boys and girls.

The next day, I sat down and watched this show with Savannah, and was happy to see that she was getting into it. So, when I found out that Dino Dan – Dino Trackers was going to be released at the end of Dec. 2011, I couldn't wait to pick up a copy and watch it with Savannah.  This DVD contains 5 fun-filled episodes that will keep any Dino Dan or dinosaur fanatic entertained.  I can't wait until she gets a little older and starts talking about her favorite dinosaurs. But, in the meantime, I am enjoying this snuggle time on the couch, watching Dino Dan on Nick Jr.
