Flowers are in full bloom --well, not really -- but, they will be come March 14-18, when the Boston Flower and Garden Show arrives at the Seaport World Trade Center.  Just the other day, my husband was strolling with Savannah in the back yard and saw the daffodils starting to sprout up out of the ground.  This is sign that the warmer weather is right around the corner, along with beautiful blooms.

Every year, we make a point to take in 1-2 flowers show throughout New England.  Not only can you see beautiful smelling flowers, but if you are gardener (or just like to putter around in the dirt), you can get some great ideas for the upcoming planting season.  Vendors are also available to sell their plants and planting accessories, in addition to demos and lectures .  We can't leave a show without bringing home a new plant to add to our garden. 

So, if you live in the New England area, make sure to mark your calendars for this upcoming flower show.  Bring the whole family (kids and all) down to the Seaport World Trade Center, for a day of fun and beauty.  Children will love the mini gardens that are set up, especially the ones with water features.  And, with the recent cold weather we have experienced (even though it has been a mild winter), wouldn't it be nice to see flowers.  This show definitely lifts my spirits and makes me forget about the cold weather (until I leave the exhibition).  You can order your tickets now, and have them in hand for March's show.  This was also make for a great Valentine's Day gift for those who flowers and flower shows.  If you have never been to the Boston Flower and Garden show, then you have been missing out.  It is a great time and one not to be missed!
