My Thoughts:
I can’t wait until Savannah is a little older and can begin baking and helping me out in the kitchen. But, in the meantime, I am enjoying baking her some tasty treats, based on her favorite show, Sesame Street, and its characters. With over 50 yummy and easy to make recipes, this cookbook would be great to share with your little baker as their first cookbook. Kids will love choosing a recipe from this book and helping you make it. And, even the pickiest of eaters will love snacking on these delicious treats.
I have made over a dozen recipes from this cookbook, all of which Savannah devoured in minutes. Some of her favorites were:
Big Bird’s Good For You, Good For Me Oatmeal Muffins
Elmo’s Pizza Party
Abby Cadabby’s Amazing Carrot Puff (The entire family loves this recipe. I have been serving it as a side dish with our chicken dinners).
Bert’s Favorite Lemony Eat Sugar Cookies
If the above recipes make your mouth water, I don’t blame you, as my was watering just typing the names and remembering how tasty they were. This books will definitely become a keepsake with my daughters, as it will be their first cookbook and introduction to the kitchen and fun of baking. This Valentine’s Day, why not share this book with your children and create a few tasty treats to give to the grandparents, or enjoy right from the oven, as they usually don’t last long!
Disclosure: I was sent a copy of this book by the publisher in order to write up an honest review. The views above are mine and mine alone.
