I am excited to share this unique product with you, that will surely turn heads of friends and family -- Wild Hibiscus Flowers in Syrup. Instead of using the same old salt or sugar coated glasses as a way to dress up a cocktail or glass of champagne, why not consider dropping a Wild Hibiscus Flower into the glass? Look how pretty it looks here in a champagne flute:
You will definitely have guests talking at your next dinner party or get-to-gether, when you serve them their beverage or even dessert with this garnish.
Each Wild Hibiscus Flower jar contains whole premium flowers in sugar syrup. There are only 3
ingredients; Wild Hibiscus Flowers, cane sugar & water. This
product is handmade in Sydney, Australia. Each flower is hand packed
into the jar to preserve their quality and shape. There is a slightly
different shaped flower for each part of the jar to minimize damage to
the flowers. All color and flavor come just from the flower, they are
cooked in the jar and vacuum sealed which gives them a long shelf life
of 2 years from the date of manufacture.
After receiving samples in the mail to try from the vendor, I couldn't wait to pick up a bottle of bubbly and surprise my husband with a glass filled with this vibrant flower. So, after the girls went to bed, we snuggled on the couch and enjoyed a nice glass of champagne with a Wild Hibiscus Flower added in. At first, my husband didn't know what to make of it. He had never seen anything like it, let alone eat one of these flowers. We were both loving how pretty it made the glass and drink appear. And, once the champagne was gone, we were left with the Wild Hibiscus Flower sitting in the bottom of our glasses. Not sure how it would taste, we each dared each other to try it first. So, together we picked up the flower up from the glass and popped it in our mouths. Hmm, it was crunchy and had a sweet flavor to it. My husband thought it tasted like he was eating salad, with the crunch. I, on the other hand, could taste the raspberry & rhubarb flavors. As an excuse to try another flower garnish, we poured ourselves another glass. This time, my husband was not hesitant on eating the Wild Hibiscus Flower. He could pick up the raspberry flavor this time around. But, never having tried rhubarb before, he wasn't sure what the undertone flavor was that he was tasting -- this was the rhubarb flavor.
Since sampling this beautiful garnish ourselves, I have had family and friends over and have served them their drinks with a Wild Hibiscus Flower. Each and every one has compliments on how beautiful the drink looks, and wonders how the flower would taste. When I tell them that it is edible, they were hesitant at first, but then tried the flower, only to enjoy it and ask for another.
If you are not an alcohol drinker, don't worry. You can still enjoy Wild Hibiscus Flowers as a dessert garnish, as well as straight out of the jar. One of my friends who sampled this garnish is going to be using this at her wedding reception, during the toast. This will surely add a special touch to such a special moment. I can't wait to see a room full of glasses being raised to toast, with a Wild Hibiscus Flower sitting in the bottom of the glasses.
And, with Valentine's Day around the corner, why not surprise your loved one with this unique garnish. Serve it with your favorite bubbly, or on top of ice cream. It will surely add to the romantic mood you set. Don't forget to check out the recipes on the vendors website, for other creative ways to use this garnish.
