The blockbuster game comes to life in this CGI stunner
ASSASSIN’S CREED: LINEAGE is the first chapter of Ezio Auditore’s story and the prequel movie to Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations
video games. ASSASSIN’S CREED: LINEAGE reveals the machinations of
15th-century Italy through the actions of Ezio’s father, Giovanni.
When the Duke of Milan is brutally murdered, the Assassin Giovanni
Auditore is dispatched to investigate. What he uncovers implicates
Italy’s most powerful families reaching all the way back to the Vatican
itself. As Giovanni draws closer to the truth, he becomes hunted
himself. He must expose the conspirators before he joins their
ever-growing list of victims

My Thoughts:
I can't get over this CGI film. My husband is a huge Assassin's Creed fan, so I couldn't wait to get this DVD for him to see. Usually we switch off each week with a film we each want to watch, so this past weekend we ended up watching this film together. I have to say, I am not a huge video game fan, or Assassin's Creed fan, for that matter, but after watching this movie, I couldn't wait to see what I was missing with the video games.
New Video does a wonderful job in keeping with the feel of the ever popular video games, by preserving the
authenticity of the costumes and depicting the historical 15th century Italy feel. And, there is enough steady focus on shadows and flickering candlelight to keep Assassin's Creed fans engaged. My husband especially loved the bonus content,
which includes the developer diaries, showcasing the two video games that my husband loves playing.
Overall, this is a great DVD or Blu-Ray to pick up and share with an Assassin's Creed fan. Even though the film itself only around 35 minutes in length, the added bonus features bring it to over 2 1/2 hour of viewing pleasure. So, with Valentine's Day around the corner, why not surprise your honey with this disc.
Disclosure: I was sent a copy of this movie from New Video in order to write up an honest review. The views above are mine and mine alone.
