My Thoughts:
I love dancing around the house with my 18 month old daughter, Savannah. This is one of the perks of being a parent, that I have learned. I can act and dance all silly and she will eat it up. I don't have impress her with fancy dance steps, as all she expects from me is to spin her around and dance all with her. It is a great feeling, and one of my favorite day-to-day activities that I do with her. As soon as the radio or CD is playing, we are dancing and singing. She is my little Dancing Queen.
And, thanks to Jim Gill and his new CD, Music Play for Folks of all Stripes, we are having a blast dancing to his tunes. We especially love Habanera La La La and Two for Tea. This CD will have you dancing along with your child, bonding in a way you never did before. And, this will help with their overall development and self-esteem.
In addition to this CD, you also receive a DVD, which contains music videos of select songs from Music Play for Folks of All Stripes. I have listened to and purchased numerous music CDs for children, but have to say that this is one of my favorites, as it offers a variety of musical styles. This is a great way to expose your child to music they would otherwise not listen to, like jazz, classical, country, etc.
So, if you are looking for a great CD of music for your child, why not check out Jim Gill's musical selections. You can visit his website and hear clips of his songs from this and his other CDs, to get a taste of his musical style.

About Jim Gill:
Jim Gill is a musician and author with unique credentials among
children’s artists. Jim is a child development specialist, having
completed his graduate studies in child development at the Erikson Institute of Chicago
with a special emphasis on the study of play. For this reason, each of
Jim’s recordings and books is created as an opportunity for playful
interactions between a child and a caring adult.
Jim has won acclaim for bringing the same emphasis on family play to his live concerts. Anyone who has ever attended one of Jim’s family concerts knows that rather than performing for the children and parents, Jim leads them to sing and play together.

Jim has released six award-winning CDs of music play for young
children that are favorites in family rooms, classrooms and playrooms.
He is also the author of two children's books. His latest, A Soup Opera, is a sing-along opera inspired by concerts that Jim performs with symphony orchestras. The book received an American Library Association
award in 2010. Jim has received four separate awards from the American
Library Association for his recordings and books over the years.
Jim speaks to early childhood educators, care providers and children’s librarians across the country about the many benefits of play in young children’s lives. Jim has shared his expertise on music, play and literacy with organizations such as Head Start, the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the National Association for Family Child Care and, most recently, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
