Last Minute Holiday Gift Giving Ideas–Gourmet Marshmallow from 240 Sweet (Review)

 

I just love the winter.  No, not because of the cold weather and snow (even though the snow looks nice, before it gets dirty).  But, because I have an excuse to drink as much hot chocolate as I want.  And, what goes well with hot chocolate?  Marshmallows…lots and lots of them.  So, when I stumbled across 240Sweet, I knew I had to try out their homemade marshmallows in a nice cup of hot chocolate.  The folks at 240Sweet kindly sent me three of their popular flavors to try out – caramel apple, Abbey of Gethsemani Pawpaw and Chocolate Hazelnut Swirl.

As soon as the package arrived, I put on a pot of hot milk to warm and quickly opened the box.  Ahh, just looking at the marshmallows made my mouth water.  I had never seen a marshmallow look so good.  I especially loved looking at the caramel apple sample, with swirls of caramels intermixed throughout the fluffy marshmallow.  If you have never tried homemade marshmallows before, you are missing out.  I made them a few times, but they were a lot of work, with a young baby in toe.  So, I was happy to be enjoying them again, but thanks to the hard work of the folks at 240Sweet.

Over the course of the week, I sampled each of the three flavors, and loved each one.  Out of the three, I have to say my favorite, if I  had to choose, was the Chocolate Hazelnut Swirl marshmallow, as it combined chocolate (my favorite), hazelnut and vanilla bean into a scrumptious marshmallow.  I couldn’t believe how tasty it made my hot chocolates taste. And, unlike the small so-called marshmallows that come in the packaged hot chocolate mixes, these marshmallows from 240Sweet actually last awhile in your drink, and don’t dissolve immediately.  So, you can savor the flavor of the marshmallow along with the hot chocolate. 

So, if you are a marshmallow or hot chocolate fan, you need to pick up a package of 240Sweet marshmallows today.  I have to warm you – Have a napkin on hand, as you may end up with marshmallow mustache like I did.  It is not attractive, but sure does taste good trying to lick it off
