Kellogg’s FiberPlus Bars and Cereal (Product Review and Giveaway)

I recently had the opportunity to sample the Kellogg’s FiberPlus™ line of breakfast bars and cereal. The Kellogg’s FiberPlus™ bar is a delicious way to get the fiber you need, and as a busy mom on the go, I just love these bars.

Below are the samples I was sent, along with their ingredients.  Out of all the flavors, I  have to say my favorite Kellogg’s FiberPlus™ bar was the dark chocolate almond bar, with chocolate chip a close second.  The reason I liked the dark chocolate almond bar the best was that the rich, dark chocolate mixed with crunchy almonds really added to the whole grain bar making it a sweet treat to eat any time of day.  Other fiber bars I have tried lack taste or have a less than appealing flavor profile.  But, not Kellogg's FiberPlus™ bars.  Each provided around 35% of your daily fiber, and Kellogg's only uses real ingredients in order to delivery a tasty bar.  And, when the box says it contains nuts, like peanuts or almonds, you really get a bar that is packed with whole nuts that you can taste and enjoy the crunch factor.

As for the cereal I was sent, I was pleasantly surprised at how good it tasted.  I have tried other fiber cereals only to be disappointed by the flavor, as I felt like I was eating cardboard.  Kellogg's new, Caramel Pecan Crunch really delivers on the crunch factor.  Each pecan cluster is drizzled with caramel adding to the tastiness of the nut.  And, combined with whole grain wheat and rice flakes, you not only get a balanced breakfast, but you are also getting 35% of your daily fiber needed, which leads to better heart health.  I guarantee that after one of this flavor or another Kellogg's FiberPlus cereal, you will be hooked.  After having tried this cereal, I had run out and ended up having a bowl of sugary cereal, only to be disappointed.  Before, I would have enjoyed the sugar rush, but after sampling Kellogg's FiberPlus cereal, I now prefer this cereal, high in fiber, over those less healthy and high in sugar cereals.  

I have tried a few of the other Kellogg's FiberPlus cereals since I was sent the Caramel Pecan crunch sample, and have found the other flavors to be just as tasty.  When I am pressed for time, I simply grab a ziploc bag and fill it with this cereal, and then pick on the cereal while on the go.  This cereal also makes for a great snack.
