Inspired by the upcoming Disney•Pixar animated film, Cars 2: The Video Game lets players jump into the Cars2universe with some of their favorite Cars personalities in exotic locations around the globe.
Continuing the storyline from the upcoming film, players can choose to play as Mater and Lightning McQueen, as well as some brand new characters, as they train in the international training center -CHROME (Command Headquarters for Recon Operations and Motorized Espionage) to become world-class spies. They’ll take on dangerous missions, compete to become the fastest racecar in the world, or use their spy skills in exciting, action-packed combat racing and battle arenas. Players can race against friends and family in either single or multiplayer modes with up to four players to unlock challenging new tracks, characters, events and thrilling spy missions. The DS version will also include exclusive global locations not seen in the film.

-Perform maneuvers only Cars characters can do, such as backwards driving, air tricks, sidestepping to avoid obstacles, two wheel driving and more
-Connect with World of Cars Online, a free-to-play browser-based virtual world based on the Cars universe, to gain rewards in the video game and then use them to unlock new items in the virtual world
My Thoughts:
Wow! I was amazed at the cool graphics in Cars 2: The Video Game. If you are fan of the Cars franchise or Disney movies in general, you will love this game, which is available on most game console platforms.
The game begins by having you choose a C.H.R.O.M.E mission, where up to 4 people can play. You can choose a character to play from the movies, but some of the characters are not available from the start -- you have to earn them by winning certain missions. I ended up choosing my favorite character, Mater, while my husband was Lightning McQueen. Yes, this game is geared towards kids, but even adults will want to get in on the fun. And, in no time, it will surely be a family favorite for game night, or the go-to game when you have family and friends over.
Overall, this is a great game, and will definitely be a hit with Cars fans. If you or your child loves racing games and cool graphics, Cars 2: The Video Game fits the bill. In addition to watching Cars 2 this Friday during our in-home date night, my husband and I are looking forward to racing each other in this amazing game.
