This candle makes for a great holiday gift this season. I was sent the Cortina Candela to try out and have to say, it smells amazing. As we were putting up our tree this past weekend, I had the candle lit. It filled the entire first floor with the earthy smell of elemi wood. This candle burns clean and the aroma lasts for hours, even after the candle is blow out. I especially love the hand-blown vessel that sits on an antiqued brass stand. The candle looks amazing sitting atop this beautifully designed and executed stand. Even if you are not a candle lover, this would make for a great centerpiece, as it is beautifully handcrafted and its unique design will be a talking point with family and friends.
I love candles and am always picking up votives to have on hand, but every once in a while I like to splurge and buy fancy candles like this. You can tell you are getting top-quality product when you light this hand-poured candle. Most candles only smell up close, but not this candle Like I said, it filled the entire first floor with its scent. And, I had it burning for 3 hrs. straight and it didn’t melt down quickly or sink in the center like other candles. Instead, I can expect many more burns from this candle, which one would hope and except when buying a candle.
This was my first in trying out a Tocca candle, and I can’t wait to buy other scents in this collection.In addition to giving this gift to a candle lover, mom, girlfriend, etc., this candle would make for a perfect housewarming gift or hostess gift to give this holiday season.
