My Thoughts:
I was sent the above flavors of Pamela’s Whenever Bars to sample, and have to say that I am happy I stumbled upon this wonderful product and had the opportunity to try these bars. Prior to receiving these samples, I had never heard of the Pamela’s Product line. But, one night while looking for gluten-free snacks, I stumbled upon this site, and I couldn’t get my mouth to stop watering as I read through the products and their descriptions. Usually sweet treats that are gluten-free lack the flavor that one is looking for when they want to satisfy their sweet tooth. And, when it comes to wholesome, gluten-free snack bars, there is a limited selection available. But, thanks to Pamela’s products, especially her Whenever Bars, people now have a great product they can turn to when they are looking for a nutritious on-the-go snack, made with whole grains, real fruit and other natural ingredients.
Out of the 4 flavored Whenever Bars I sampled, I have to say my favorite was Pamela’s Oat Blueberry Lemon Whenever Bars. I have recently begun baking with agave and coconut sugar for a more healthy alternative to high-fructose products, so I was pleased to see that this is what Pamela’s Whenever Bars are made with. As soon as you take a bit of this bar, you can instantly taste the fresh blueberries, with a hint of lemon. And, with the use of oats, it really holds the bar contents together. I only got halfway through the bar before I started to get full. This bar and the others were jam-packed with oats and whole grain that they definitely make for a great on-the-go snack or breakfast bar. As a busy mom to two girls under the age of 2, there are some days that I can’t fit in breakfast or lunch, and instead of turning to unhealthy foods like chips or cookies, I always like to have healthy snacks on hand, that will actually fill me up. Now that I know about Pamela’s Products, I will definitely keep them on hand, so that I can grab one and snack on it when I am busy, or need to take the girls for a play date, doctor’s appointment, etc. Even though these bars are gluten-free, they don’t lack in the flavor department. You can tell the flavor and ingredients that make up each bar, with the initial bite. And, if you look at the whenever bar up close, you can see all the natural and healthy ingredients that go into each bar.
