Sesame Workshop debuts the new Sesame Street App, Elmo Calls ($.99, but free now through January 1, 2012), for the iPhone and iPod touch. The new app includes video and audio calls from Elmo, as well as voicemail from the furry, red one, and lets users call Elmo. What does Elmo have to say, and he talks about the ABCs, 123s, learning to use the potty and so forth. The Elmo Calls app features a section for grown-ups where they can activate calls any time they want or schedule calls for any specials times during the day. There are eight different themed call packs available to choose from. Additional content packs are available through In-App Purchase for $0.99, or users can purchase the "All-Calls" pack for $4.99.
In other Sesame Workshop app news, Sesame Street releases a new update for the Elmo Loves ABCs App (free for current app users) for iPad that includes customization features that allows users to add their own photos and videos to the game, and a tracker to see how your kid is doing.
