My Thoughts:

What a great product this is.  For the past 6-7 months, we have been trying to get our daughter to transition from the bottle to a sippy cup.  But, she has fought us all the way.  As a result of this, I have turned into a mobile mop, wiping up all the milk and juice spills she leaves around the house.  Got t0 love kids!
But, a few months back at one my mommy playgroups, I was talking to a couple moms who said their children skipped the sippy cup stage and went straight from a bottle to a cup.I wondered is this is why Savannah wasn’t haven’t the sippy cup—even though I bought over 20 different cups, trying to find the one that would work for her.  so, that afternoon after we arrived home, I tried my daughter with a plastic cup.  Low and beyond, she took to it, and then clapped.  The only problem was that because she wasn’t used to holding and sipping a cup, she ended up wearing half the wall, while the rest fell to the floor around her.  But, day after day, we continued to work at it, and she improved her hold and how she would sip and not gulp the drink down.  She got the drinking concept down, but still had issues with spilling while running, tipping the cup over when bending down to get a toy, etc.
So, began my search for a cup that was made for little hands, that was actually spillproof.  This led me to the Contigo brand and their Kids Trekker with AUTOSEAL.  I was sent a sample to try.  And, boy did I make sure Savannah tried it out, as I have spent a lot of $$ on cups that weren’t actually spillproof when handed to a young child.  Savannah ran around with it, bent over, shook it, and put it through vigorous toddler testing.  The verdict – it actually is waterproof.  And, Savannah loved the bold purple colored cup.  This has become one of her favorite cups to use.  And, it even got her to use a sippy cup on occasion. Usually if we are running errands, I leave the Contigo Trekker at home and take a sippy cup.  That way, in case she drops the cup and I don’t notice, it will not be one of the good cups she is losing.
I will definitely continue to buy Contigo products, now that I know they work and are durable and well made.
